No machine needed

Face attendance without a machine

Searching for a face attendance machine price? With FaceBiometric there is no machine to buy — an ordinary Android phone or tablet becomes the attendance kiosk.

What you need

An Android phone, a stand and a charger

  • Android 7.0 or newer with a front camera — a recent mid-range phone or tablet is ideal
  • A stand or wall mount at face height near the gate, with a power point for charging
  • Internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data) for syncing — attendance still works when it drops
  • Good light on faces — avoid a bright window directly behind people
Why a phone kiosk

What you save compared with a machine

No machine to buy

Use a phone or tablet you already have, or any suitable one from the market. Add more gates by adding more phones.

Nothing to repair or replace

A phone is easy to replace if it breaks — install the app, link it on the Devices page, and it is back in minutes.

Software that keeps improving

Reports, alerts, leave and privacy tools come with the service and are updated — unlike a fixed machine.

Questions

About phone-based face attendance

What is the price of a face attendance machine?

With FaceBiometric you do not need to buy a face attendance machine at all. You pay for the service, priced by the number of members and kiosks, and use any suitable Android phone or tablet as the kiosk. Contact us for a quote for your institution.

Which phone is best for a face attendance kiosk?

Any recent Android phone or tablet (Android 7.0 or newer) with a working front camera. A mid-range device with good battery life and a wall stand at face height gives the smoothest scanning.

Can one phone handle a whole college?

One kiosk can mark people one after another in about a second each. For large gates, morning rush or several buildings, use more phones — every kiosk syncs to the same records and keeps the IN / OUT order right.

What if someone takes the kiosk phone home?

Each Device ID works on one phone only. If the phone is replaced, an admin unlinks it on the Devices page; any other phone trying the same login is refused and shown to the admin. The app also locks itself when idle.
